Pre-Dispositional Report

Ending excessive sentences and extreme punishments is of paramount importance to protect young people in the juvenile justice system. 

A pre-disposition report is prepared for a youth in preparation for a judicial disposition of the youth’s case. A pre-disposition report is very similar to a pre-sentence report prepared for adults at the time of sentencing or prior to sentencing to be used in plea negations but there are differences. Specialized actuary tools intended for youth are utilized during assessments and summarized in the final report.

A pre-disposition report is be a multi-disciplinary assessment that assesses the youth's needs and includes an individualized plan for treatment of those needs and a recommendation of the most appropriate placement to meet the youth’s needs while also considering public safety.
